Hello,
I hope this note finds you all well!
I am working with the IFT (Institute of Food Technologists), Feeding Tomorrow and the Chicagoland Food Science Foundation to help spread the word about Food Science in a 2 ½ hour session about the science behind food & flavors this coming June 23rd.
This presentation will be a ‘Version 2’ of sorts, to encourage many of the educators we have already engaged with us, to continue listening & learning, so we are doing a bit of a deeper dive into the science of the food industry. In addition to the deeper dive, we will also spend time doing hands on demonstrations with a variety of scientists from the industry.
Thanks to many of you, we have had wonderful industry collaboration with educators & students in our surrounding Chicagoland area! But, this year we are going national with our summer event and we are hoping to take advantage of the virtual world we are living in.
Feel free to share this flier on your websites, lists of PD opportunities you share with educators across the state or in your respective districts, please also share with any/all of your contacts – on a national level, educator friends in your neighborhood or from other states, all are welcome!
Educators who register and virtually show up on the day of the event have a chance to get a $75 gift card to use toward supplies for their classroom.
Here is the link to learn more & sign up, or just having the PDF works too (the links on the PDF should be live).
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me or Jaime Gutshall.
