University of Illinois  (District 4)  - Tenure-track Assistant Professor
The Agricultural Leadership, Education, and Communications (ALEC) Program is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor faculty position focusing on the scholarship of teaching and learning in an agricultural context.  The faculty position is provided on a 9-month (academic year) basis, with tenure residing in a department appropriate for the candidate’s area of research in the College of ACES, and will reflect a 50% teaching and 50% research responsibilities.  
August 16, 2020 or as soon as possible after the close of the search.

Earned Ph.D. in agricultural education, communications, or leadership; postsecondary education; curriculum and instruction; or other closely related field by August 16, 2020. Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with undergraduate and graduate students as well as local, national/global groups required. Successful candidates must have a proven record of excellence in teaching and student centered/service learning in the context of agricultural education, and scholarly research, publication and engagement. 
Build a strong international reputation through research, teaching and engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning in an agricultural context. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in agricultural education, including teaching and learning theory and research methodology courses. Opportunities may also exist to organize study abroad programs. The candidate will conduct scholarly research in the broad area of teaching and learning, attract external competitive research funding, and supervise graduate and undergraduate student research.  Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, assisting with student recruitment, advising, coordinating programs, and serving on relevant committees.
