The morning session will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. 
Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
The afternoon session will be held from 12:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m.
Tours of the campus hemp plot will be optional following the afternoon session. 

Where: Kreher Agriculture Center at Lincoln Land Community College (5250 Shepherd Rd, Springfield, IL)

Morning Sessions      
Option 1: Livestock Judging Tips from the Expert
Participants in this session will learn the basics of developing a set of reasons for livestock judging and will receive a livestock judging manual from LLCC livestock Coach, Craig Beckmier. The instructors will explain the how to organize reasons for a class of 4 animals.

Option 2: Landscape Design for Beginners
Participants in this session will learn basic principles of landscape design and how to present a plan to a customer. Teachers will receive lessons and materials that they can utilize with their own students. Instructor: Rebecca Trace

 

Afternoon Sessions      
Option 1: So You Have a Drone, Now What?
This session will provide teachers with introductory activities to be used when teaching about drones. Participants will receive mini drones to use when teaching flight skills as well as lessons on crop scouting, aerial inspections, and aerial photography.

Option 2:  The Speed Square is Your Next Must Have Tool! 
This lesson with provide teachers with their own Speed Square as well as lessons that can be used in an Ag Mechanics class. Topics covered will include how to mark rafters, the protractor function and all the other uses that make this tool invaluable.
