Highlights of the FFA Board Meeting: 

• State Leadership CREW  - we are SUPER excited to announce to our membership our initiative to gather our leaders together to formulate our State Leadership CREW (Chapter Representatives Engagement Webinars).  Our goal is to formulate a way for FFA members to be involved at the state level throughout the year and empower them to contribute to the conversations and ways of connecting FFA members with more opportunities throughout FFA.  Our plan of action is to conduct virtual Bi-monthly meetings for members to participate in committee work.  Please click here for more information, we look forward to having FFA members throughout the state participate in our State Leadership CREW.  

• Conflict of Interest Guiding Principles, Recommended Guidelines and Example Resolutions

  • A policy/procedure for handling Illinois Agricultural Education State staff interacting with students competing in FFA events.

• LDE- for Parliamentary Procedure

  • Motion to accept Recommendation # 1 – Regarding Parliamentary Procedure from the CDE committee to remove secretary notes from the event and to set the time limit to 11 minutes for the demonstration with a 2 point penalty per second beyond 11 minutes made by Freebairn, 2nd Hood, D3.  Motion Passed. 

  • Motion to sustain made by Spangler, D3,; 2nd Meisner D4. Motion passed.

  • Motion to accept Recommendation # 3 – Regarding General CD Rules that "all of the  above" and "none of the above" options be eliminated from CDE exam questions made by Freebairn; 2nd by Berry, D4.  Motion passed.  

  • Motion to sustain made by Heartt, d1; 2nd Erhardt, D5.  Motion passed.  

  • The 2021 - 2022 Parliamentary Procedure Rules will be updated soon and these changes will be incorporated this year.  

  • All CDE/LDE rules can be found here on the www.ilaged.org website.  

• American FFA Degree Application DUE Date CHANGE

  • For Illinois FFA starting in 2022 - American FFA Degree applications are due January 15, 2022.
