Optional tours will be available at Harvester Works and the Seeding Factories at 1 p.m. on January 28. This tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Harvester can accommodate up to 56 people and Seeding can accommodate 20 for a tour. Availability is on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Tours of Deere & Company can also be coordinated prior to Deere Career Night. Let Amelia know if you are interested.

RSVP:

Please RSVP to Amelia VanLandegen, vanlandegenamelia@johndeere.com, by Tuesday, January 14, with the total number of students and if you want to reserve tour seats.

What to expect:

o   All FFA members are invited (not just officer teams). FFA members, please wear official dress.

o   Have questions about jobs at Deere and dealers? Or what you can do now to set you up for career success? Students and advisors will have opportunities to ask the panel and/or discuss 1:1 during the networking time.

o   An overview will be provided of the functional work areas in the company and local dealers will also be in attendance to talk about opportunities in their businesses.

o   If you attend a tour at 1 p.m., you'll still have a little time before the main event. During this time, you might consider visiting the John Deere Pavilion or setting up a tour of Corporate Headquarters. (Note: The Headquarters tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.)

**Note: If students do not have school due to weather conditions, this event will be moved. Snow date is tentatively set for Tuesday, February 4.

Please let me know if you have any questions. We’re looking forward to seeing many of you in January.

Regards,

Amelia (QCA John Deere FFA Alumni & Supporters co-VP)
