D5 & Invitational Horse Judging CDE

The Horse Judging CDE will take place on September 10, 2021. On-site check in will begin at 8:30 a.m. The contest will begin at 9:30 a.m. The contest will be in person at the University Farms. Schools may register 1 varsity team, 1 JV team, and as many practice teams as they would like. Teams consist of 4 participants with the top 3 scores counting towards the team score.

Please register at the link below. To have accurate record of attendees we ask that all registration be done prior to the event. There will be no same-day registration. We ask that all teams register by Wednesday, September 8, 2021.

Please note that your registration will not be completed until the registration fee is received. The registration fee is $5 per contestant. Registration fees can be paid to Judging Card through the registration link above. If you can not pay through Judging Card, please bring exact change or checks made out to SIU CFFA.

There will be six classes. Two classes will be halter classes and four will be performance classes. The halter classes are Hunter Conformation Halter and Aged Quarter Horse Mare Halter. The performance classes are Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Hunter Under Saddle, and Hunt Seat Equitation. The patterns for these classes are attached.

Waiver forms are required from every student participating in this contest. Please print the form attached and send home with students for parents to sign and return. These forms must be brought to the contest for students to be eligible to compete.
