* A message from Mt. Vernon FFA Advisor, Cherie Rogier.
The Mt. Vernon FFA would like to invite you to the Boot Scootin’ Boogie held at Mt. Vernon Township
High School on Friday, January 10th, 2020 from 7-10pm. This dance will be an event open to all
District 5 FFA members to raise money for the Illinois FFA Foundation. This event will be for FFA
members ONLY. Tickets for this event will be $10 per member, with advisors/chaperones entering for
free. Chapters who register by December 20, 2019 will receive a free t-shirt with each ticket purchase
(advisors will receive a free shirt). An informational flyer, registration form, and student waiver are
included in this email to provide additional information for this event. The registration form is to be
filled out by the advisor including the FFA chapter name, the names of members attending the dance,
shirt sizes of the FFA members, and the names of chaperones attending. Each chapter is responsible
for providing one chaperone for every 14 members in attendance. The waiver must be signed by each
attendee and their guardian. The pre-registration form is due no later than December 20, 2019. Please
send a completed list of the names of the members attending this dance no later than January 8, 2020,
along with a statement of verification that all students listed are FFA members in good standing with
the Illinois FFA Association and National FFA Organization.
