ISBE Budget Hearings

Now more than ever, ISBE wants our school leaders, classroom teachers, parents, and community advocates to tell us what investments would make the biggest difference for their students. So please visit ISBE.net/budget to fill out a budget request funding form and to register for one of the hearings. Those wishing to participate must submit their testimony in writing by completing the form at www.isbe.net/budget. Please note ISBE will give equal consideration to all written and oral testimony.

Feedback Needed - REALLY need to get teachers to complete the Fall Survey to help us plan for BUILD Conference and other Fall events.

1.  Office Closing

The Illinois FFA Center had a change of plans due to a brief quarantine, our professional development day has been MOVED to THIS Thursday, October 7, 2021.  The Illinois FFA Center will be CLOSED, Thursday, October 7, 2021 for a staff professional development day.  We are also closed Monday, October 11, 2021.

2.  Illinois FFA Hits RECORD Membership

This good news is just too exciting not to share.  Illinois FFA just hit record membership at  21,885 members in FFA and over 37,000 agricultural education students in Illinois.  

3. 2021 BUILD Conference

The BUILD Conference will be offered as a single-day conference to be held on Monday, November 22nd or Tuesday, November 23rd.  A virtual option will be offered on Tuesday only.  The cost for Students, Advisors, and/or Chaperones is $50 p/p.  Fall Professional Development will be offered for Advisors.  Three signed waivers will be required for all attendees.  Please review the link for the registration information.
