Position: Agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor
Description: Morton High School, located in Morton, Illinois in Section 5,
Is seeking an Agricultural Education Teacher and FFA Advisor in the Pumpkin Capital of the world for the Fall of 2022.
The Morton High School CTE department has an ag. mechanics lab, welding lab, and carpentry production shop. Current courses to be taught (although, flexible based on candidates): Basic Ag. Mechanics, Advanced Ag. Mechanics, Ag. Construction with potential to expand into the Plant Systems pathway. Morton High School is a well-established 1:1 iPad school with top-notch technology and instructional support. Our facilities are experiencing upgrades as funding and space opens up. CTE and the Agriculture program are strongly supported by the administration and the Board of Education. Our community is dedicated to supporting an Agriculture program along with creating a Morton FFA Alumni and Supports group.
Candidates must have an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS). The school district will be participating in the Three Circle FFA and SAE grant. Base salary is $42,851 with Board of Education paid TRS benefits (+$4,238.01)
