Congratulations to all teams competing in today's Ag Sales, Agronomy, Dairy Foods, and Meats Career Development Events at Parkland College and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Many thanks go out to our IAVAT contest superintendents and CDE committee representatives, Ms. Jenni Fridgen, Ag Sales judges, Mr. Nick Wherley, faculty and staff from UIUC Crop Sciences and Meat Science Lab, and students of these institutions for conducting exceptional events!

We would also like to thank our generous sponsors of the Agronomy Career Development Event, United Prairie and CoBank. With the financial support from these investors, winning students and teams will receive scholarships and financial assistance to attend the National competition next year in addition to support of the Illinois Foundation FFA and program support of the Illinois Association of Vocational Agriculture Teachers (IAVAT).

We want to hear from you!

Please let us know of any feedback from today's events. Click here to submit a short Google form with the positives, negatives, and things that could/should be changed with the IL Ag Sales, Agronomy, Dairy Foods, and Meats CDEs. We value and thank you for your input!

Results

Click here to view full anonymous results for the Ag Sales event. Please be sure to check with your students to confirm which individual sales call room they competed in, as some were switched after check-in based on contestants knowing particular judges.

Full results for Agronomy, Dairy Foods, and Meats can be accessed by logging in to judgingcard.com. Click here to view initial login instructions posted on the ilaged.org website.

The following Agronomy exam questions were thrown out, as they related to soybeans and corn, which are not included in the 2019 rotation of topics to be covered: 7, 12, 17, 18, 21, 23

Meats Retail ID #9 & #28 were thrown out due to a lack of bone in the cut, which made it unable to be coded on our card.

Results posted in this email are to be considered tentative at this time. Any discrepancies found in the results must be submitted in writing to the Illinois FFA Center within 3 days from electronic notification of results. Results will become official with the mailing of ribbons in the coming weeks.

Thanks again to everyone who helped to make this event a success!
