2021-2022 Local Collection Drive Deadline for 2022 State Convention Recognition

While the Illinois Foundation FFA accepts donations all year, contributions must be received by January 31, 2022, to be included in recognition at the state convention and for reporting purposes at the Illinois Foundation FFA Annual meeting.

With the January 31st Local Collection Drive deadline quickly approaching, I wanted to take a minute to provide some more clarification on the deadline and the Local Collection Drive. The Illinois Foundation FFA accepts donations all year. The Foundation’s fiscal year begins July 1st and ends June 30th. That said, the FFA Chapter will receive credit for the current (2021-2022) Local Collection Drive for all donations made until June 30, 2022. However, in order to be recognized during the 94th Annual Illinois FFA State Convention, donations must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2022.

Please note, an FFA Chapter’s Hopper Fund balance is calculated after the end of the Foundation's fiscal year. That said, the Chapter’s Hopper Fund balance will include all donations made on behalf of the Chapter from July 1, 2021 until June 30, 2022.

If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact Riley Duckworth, rduckworth@illinoisffa.org or Tammy Yard, tyard@illinoisffa.org

****Don’t Forget****

Steps to Completing Your Foundation Transmittal

  1. Complete chapter transmittal - One was provided in the Foundation Collection Drive folder included in the convention mailing. You may also contact Riley Duckworth (rduckworth@illinoisffa.org) or Tammy Yard (tyard@illinoisffa.org) for a copy.

  • Write date at top of the transmittal sheet.

  • Write amount of donor’s contribution in ‘new amount’ column.

  • Check name and address for accuracy and make any changes directly on the transmittal.

  • List any new donors on the blank transmittal sheets. Please get the complete mailing address for each new donor. Please write/print clearly. We do send a thank you note to every donor, so it is important that we have their correct mailing address.

  • Write the name, email and phone number of who is submitting the donations and transmittal sheet. This will be the person contacted if we have any questions about the submission.

  • Make a copy for yourself and mail a copy of the transmittal along with your checks by certified mail to:

    Illinois National Bank
    Trust Department
    322 East Capitol Avenue
    Springfield, IL 62701-1710

**EACH TIME you send money, send along a new transmittal sheet with only those donations filled in to match the money.**
