Vacancy- Stockton High School (District 1)- Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor
Stockton High School, located in Section 1, is looking for an Agricultural Education teacher and FFA Advisor for start of the 2020-2021 school year. This position includes teaching assignments in grades 9-12 and one section of 7th grade.
This agriculture program boasts a variety of agricultural courses and has an active FFA chapter. Current facilities include an agriculture classroom, a greenhouse, a land lab, and a mechanics shop.
Applicants must possess a current Illinois Professional Educator License with proper endorsement to teach Agriculture Education and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: utilizing different teaching methods to meet the instructional needs of individual students; developing lesson plans; communicating regularly with parents on student performance; developing classroom standards to maintain student discipline and behavior; and collaborating with the FFA alumni.
Salary is based on current negotiated contract per educational level and years of experience. Excellent benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance are provided. The possibility of a 10-month contract is also a possibility with this position.
