Thank you to everyone that attended the March 25th ILCAE meeting. Below is a meeting recap:

- Illinois Agri-Food Workforce Collaborative Student Engagement Exercise
in Reviewing Ag Career Videos - Draft summary is attached.
- House Bill 3296 - Amends the School Code. Requires a school district to offer a program to
prepare students enrolled in grades 6 through 12 for a career and technical education
pathway by introducing students to career exploration opportunities that allow students to
explore a wide variety of high-skill, high-wage, or in-demand career fields. Sets forth what
a school district shall provide in its career and technical education pathway program.
The bill was amended in the Senate and passed out of committee unanimously. It appears to be viewed positively at this point. (from Jessica Nardulli)
- The FY23 budget with the Ag Ed Line Item increase, total $7,050,000, is moving through the General Assembly.
