Hello, Section 8 teachers! 

 

We hope you are well and that your spring breaks are either going well or coming up fast! As you know, Rolling Meadows High School is hosting the Public Speaking Events (Creed, Extemp, Prepared, and Job Interview) on April 6th with registration beginning at 4:30. We are very excited to host everyone! We will offer dinner for students ($5/person, includes 2 slices of pizza, a drink, chips, and a cookie) and we will also have our therapy dogs and handlers present to direct participants to rooms and to help relax students before competing!

 

To help us prepare for this event, please do the following things if you are planning to participate: 

• Register for the events on the IL Ag Ed website with specific student names if possible by April 4th. 
• If your students are competing in Prepared or Job interview, please submit the documentation (i.e. cover letter and resume for Job Interview, manuscript for Prepared) to this Google form so that we can send it to judges ahead of time. This will allow us to efficiently move through the contests the day of.
• If your students would like to purchase dinner, please give us a number of students by filling out this Google form by Monday, April 4th. You can pay us cash the day of the contests for food. 
• If your students have any allergies regarding dogs, please be sure to let us know via this Google form.
