Griggsville-Perry High School in Section 13 is looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Agriculture Educator for the 2022 to 2023 school year. Successful candidates will possess an IL Teaching License with an Agriculture Endorsement or will be able to obtain one by the fall of 2022.
Traditionally taught courses include (but are flexible based on the successful candidate’s knowledge, experience, and interests): Introduction to Agriculture Industry, Veterinary Technology, Agronomy, Horticulture, Agriculture Construction, Agriculture Mechanics, Natural Resources, and Agriculture Leadership & Communication. The high school utilizes a block schedule. The FFA chapter is very active and receives large support from the community. The mechanics shop is fully equipped with tools for metalworking, carpentry, electricity and machinery maintenance.
SALARY and BENEFITS: Teaching salary and FFA stipend are based on the salary schedule in the CBA. District pays TRS and up to $750/ month toward Health Insurance. This school district has participated in the 3-Circle grant since its inception.
