Description
West Carroll High School, located in Savanna in Section 1, is seeking an Agricultural
Education Teacher/FFA Advisor position.
The West Carroll Ag Department has an Ag Mechanics shop, and an 11-acre FFA test plot. Current courses to be taught (although, flexible based on candidates) Basic Ag Mechanics, Ag Mechanics, Construction, Agricultural Welding, Agricultural Engine Maintenance, Agricultural Electricity Systems. West Carroll High School is 1 to 1 with Chromebooks. The Agriculture Department does have a Smartboard and Ag Office Space. Agriculture is very important in our community. Our new teacher would have tremendous community support. The new teacher would join newly hired Kyle Christian.
Candidates must have an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS). The contract length is per the WCEA collective bargaining agreement with the school district participating in the Three Circle FFA and SAE grant. Salary range is from $33,516-$73,736 per year plus district-paid TRS, health insurance and life insurance.
