Vacancy: Richland Community College – Agriculture Faculty Position

Richland Community College is currently seeking applicants for the Agriculture Faculty position.  Faculty members are responsible for planning, preparing, implementing, teaching, and evaluating classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction and serving as academic advisor for students.  Faculty members also participate in program development, evaluation, college committees and other activities as needed.  The Agriculture faculty will participate in assigned committees and taskforces.  This position will collaborate with various colleagues and stakeholders to address and respond to relevant issues affecting student success.

The teaching assignment will include Agriculture courses, including courses for the Agribusiness and Agronomy degree programs.  Assigned courses may include field-based courses at local Agriculture industry locations.  The teaching load is 4-5 courses each per fall and spring semesters, depending on the credit hours awarded for each course.  Opportunities for summer teaching may be available.

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture and a minimum of three years teaching experience at the secondary and/or college level.  The preferred candidate will have a Master’s degree in Agriculture and experience in the Agriculture field outside of teaching.
