Over the course of two weeks during April 2022, the ISBE CTE Team conducted a state-wide CTE Industry Feedback Tour in order to gather updated input from business and community partners regarding the skills graduating high school students needed in order to be most successful in the workplace.

CTE educators will explore the data from the CTE Industry Feedback Tour and consider it in light of identified best practices nationally in CTE in order to make recommendations regarding our need for CTE standards and supporting professional development in Illinois. The goal of this work will be to provided teachers, schools, and school districts with the tools necessary to ensure that there are high-quality and equitable CTE opportunities for all students across Illinois and for the ISBE CTE team and its partners to best support educators in meeting those goals.

Participation is open to all educators, teachers and administrators, who teach or support Career & Technical Education programs in Illinois.

Sessions will take place via Zoom and are expected to last between 90 and 120 minutes. We are pleased that we have 14 people registered for the Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources session on June 14, 2022, which is a great size group for the type of discussion we have planned.   Register

Additionally, we are also excited about some other professional learning opportunities that are coming up this summer. These include:
And, we have lots more planned for throughout the 22-23 school year beginning in August.

Thanks so much for your leadership, involvement, and, if possible, for helping us to get the word out about all of these opportunities!   Jason
