The faculty and staff at Joliet Junior College are excited to invite you and your students to the Fall JJC Ag/Hort Immersion Event at JJC! This event is intended for high school students to be able to explore several educational and career paths in agriculture and horticulture. This is a full day of hands-on activities in the areas of Animal Science, Precision Technology, Agronomy, Landscape Design, Bee-keeping, Soils, and Leadership! Please see the attachments for a “Save the Date”, and a more detailed flyer that includes the schedule and registration link. We are requiring RSVPs by Wednesday, 9/14/2022.

The event will take place at the JJC Land Laboratory and Greenhouse located at the JJC Main Campus on September 21^st, 2022. The event begins at 9:00am, and is expected to conclude around 1:00pm. Not only will this be a career exploration event for students, but we also intend for it to be a professional development opportunity for teachers. At the end of the day, every school and every student will be able to take something from the activities home with them!

We will be limiting the number of total students able to attend (120) so that we are able to keep the breakout group sizes small and the activities as engaging as possible. For this reason we also ask that you bring a maximum of 10 students per school.
