The Illinois Farm Bureau (IFB), through its charitable arm, the Illinois Agricultural Association (IAA) Foundation, created the Illinois Agricultural Education Teacher Grant Program to support new agriculture teachers who complete their first year of teaching. This marks the sixth year grants were awarded.

2022 First Year Agriculture Teacher Grant Recipients are:
Mason Fesser, Nokomis High School, Nokomis
Lexi Hilliker, Pecatonica High School, Pecatonica
Kylie Miller, Prairie Central High School, Fairbury
Tyson Stork, Prairie Central High School, Fairbury
At the end of their first year in the classroom, agricultural education teachers are eligible to apply and are asked to outline their short and long-term goals for their curriculum, FFA programs, and professional growth.
The grant payment amount increases over the course of five years, totaling $10,000 in personal income if they remain active as an agricultural education teacher in the state of Illinois.
