Southwestern CUSD 9 is seeking a high school Agricultural Education Instructor/FFA Advisor to begin January 2023. The position is open until it is filled. Please apply soon if you are interested.
Southwestern is located near Piasa, IL and serves students located in both Macoupin and Jersey Counties with students coming from Brighton, Medora, Shipman, Piasa, Fidelity, Royal Lakes, Kemper, Plainview and Summerville.
Facilities include classroom, agricultural mechanics lab, land lab (plot) and greenhouse. There are currently 137 students in grades 9-12 enrolled in courses. Southwestern FFA is also very active in section, district, state and national events.
Applications should include a letter of interest, resume, references with contact information, copy of transcript, and a copy of teaching license (PEL license, ELS-CTE license, or be able to obtain an ELS-CTE license).
