Staunton High School, located in Macoupin County in Section 15, is accepting applications for a 3rd Agriculture teacher to replace an industrial arts teacher. The successful candidate will join the team with John Davin and Maggie McCalla, current teachers.
The program consists of a wide range of agriculture and industrial arts classes. Current classes include: Intro to Ag, Intro to Tech, Welding 1, Advanced Welding, Construction 1, Advanced Construction, Ag Computers and Engineering, Vet Science, Animal and Plant Science, Ag Business, Floral Design, Horticulture, Conservation and Natural Resources, Ag Mechanics, Electricity, Drafting, Cooperative Education, and middle school agriculture classes. The new hire will work with the current teachers to determine teaching assignments to best fit teacher experience in order to best serve the student population.
Facilities include: Completely renovated Metal Shop, Completely renovated Wood Shop, Completely renovated General Ag Shop, Greenhouse, Farm Plot, Virtual Welding Lab, 3 classrooms.
