Salem High School, located in Section 21, is seeking a full time agriculture teacher for the 2023-2024 school year, as Mr. Matt Pokojski will retire after a successful teaching career. Courses taught will be determined by the strengths of the hired candidate and the high school needs.
Facilities include a large classroom, lots of storage, a mechanics/wood shop and small greenhouse. The facility is housed separately from the high school. Within the program there are currently 107 students taking an agriculture education course. Current courses offered include Introduction to the Agricultural Industry, Agricultural Business Management, Basic Agricultural Science and Basic Biological Science Applications in Agriculture.
