2022-2023 Local Collection Drive Deadline Reminder
While the Illinois Foundation FFA accepts donations all year, contributions must be post marked by January 31, 2023, to be included in recognition at the state convention and for reporting purposes at the Illinois Foundation FFA Annual meeting.
With the January 31st Local Collection Drive deadline quickly approaching, I wanted to take a minute to provide some more clarification on the deadline and the Local Collection Drive. The Illinois Foundation FFA accepts donations all year. The Foundation’s fiscal year begins July 1st and ends June 30th. That said, the FFA Chapter will receive credit for the current (2022-2023) Local Collection Drive for all donations made until June 30, 2023. However, in order to be recognized during the 95th Annual Illinois FFA State Convention, donations must be postmarked no later than January 31, 2023.
Please note, an FFA Chapter’s Hopper Fund balance is calculated after the end of the Foundation's fiscal year. That said, the Chapter’s Hopper Fund balance will include all donations made on behalf of the Chapter from July 1, 2022 until June 30, 2023.
Not sure if the Foundation has received your money? Take the time to login to your chapter's Foundation profile to view all of the donations credited to your chapter during the 2022-2023 Local Collection Drive. If you do not know your username or password, please contact Riley Duckworth at the Illinois FFA Center by emailing rduckworth@illinoisffa.org or calling 217-753-3328 ext. 104 for assistance.
Finally, the Foundation has received the funds generated through Facebook on Giving Tuesday. Foundation staff are working diligently to get the donations entered into the donor management system. The goal is to have all Giving Tuesday donations entered by the end of the week.
