Rolling Meadows High School, located 28 miles NorthEast of Chicago in Section 8, is seeking an AgriScience Teacher for 2023-2024. Rolling Meadows High School is a multi-teacher program in a large suburban community. Their program is only four years old and they have already built a strong base of student interest and connection to the community.
Current courses include Ag Biology, Veterinary Science, Horticulture, Food Science, and Sustainable Agriculture.
The program has a beautiful large greenhouse, a high tunnel for food production, and a vet science lab. Students in vet science classes train therapy dogs as part of their curriculum, which has greatly increased the visibility of the program within the school community.
The position is currently approved for 3 Circles Grant.
