Admission Deadline Approaching for Online Agricultural Education & Leadership Master’s Program at Illinois State University and Animal and Veterinary Science Bootcamp
If you are interested in pursuing an online master’s degree in Agricultural Education & Leadership, or just need graduate hours to advance on the pay scale, this program (or courses) may be for you.
The Illinois State University Agricultural Education and Leadership M.S. sequence was designed to advance an educator’s skills and knowledge in the field of both formal and non-formal agricultural education. Through a cross-disciplinary approach, utilizing courses and resources from a variety of departments and programs on campus, individuals can tailor a program to provide the skills and knowledge to advance them in their career.
*Ag Ed and Leadership M.S. program
The Ag Ed & Leadership sequence is a 36-credit hour program. Students would take 7 hours of core coursework, 14 hours of agriculture classes, 9 hours of education or technology courses, and 6 hours of research (thesis) OR independent study/additional coursework (non-thesis).
If you are interested in starting the program, please apply for admission as soon as possible (https://illinoisstate.edu/apply/). The deadline for admission into the graduate school for the summer or fall 2023 session is February 1.

*SAVE THE DATE: Animal and Veterinary Science Bootcamp- July 17-21, 2023
This summer, we will again be offering a bootcamp for high school agriculture teachers. This bootcamp will focus on knowledge and skills in the areas of animal and veterinary science. This course will be co-taught by our agricultural education and animal science faculty and content experts across the state.
The course will be taught on campus on July 17-21, 2023. More information regarding registration for this event will be available later this spring. The course will be entitled: AGR 481.01 Special Topics in Agricultural Education: Animal and Veterinary Science. Students will receive 3 hours of graduate credit for successful completion. Current ISU tuition and fees will apply.
