As instructional leaders, making the shift toward embedding culturally responsive teaching practice with fidelity requires us to recognize and share powerful practices in action. It requires us to look at our practices both from the teacher standpoint and student receptiveness. It also requires us to create an environment in which coaching both becomes the vehicle to replicate those practices building-wide and to empower teachers to make adjustments that embed equity in their current teaching practices.
