2020 Elite Conference:
Dare to Be an Ag Teacher!
The
Elite Conference Registration is now open for high school students interested
in pursuing a career in agricultural education! The need for agriculture
teachers in the state of Illinois and nationwide are very high. This
interactive workshop is a great opportunity to meet other students with similar
interests, talk with college and university representatives and get any
questions answered about the possibilities agriculture education has to
offer. This
year's Elite Conference will be held virtual October 14th & 15th from 6-8pm.
Tentative Details:
When: October 14th 6-8pm &
October 15th 6-8pm
Where: Virtually! You will
need a device with internet access (preferably one with a camera)
How does this virtual conference work?: Each registered participant will be receiving a box in the mail before the
conference (please make sure that you put the address of where you want the box
sent in your registration). There will be activities and sessions that
you can do any time before or after the conference, plus live sessions each
evening of the conference via the Zoom platform. These sessions will
include hands on activities, small group time, college fair, and much
more! For each activity & session you participate in, you will
receive points. Participants that reach a minimum number of points will
also receive a Teach Ag t-shirt following the event.
