Opportunities to Assist in Agricultural Education Research Studies
Two recent requests for assistance with agricultural education related research has come to my attention to share with you all. If you are interested in assisting, please see the projects listed below.
Sincerely,
Jennifer
Project 1: Student AgriScience Fair Project from KISD Career Center in Texas investigating the diversity of livestock show exhibitors. Click here for the Google Form Link to complete the survey.
Project 2: My name is Kendrick L. Spencer, a doctoral candidate at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in the Department of Agricultural, Leadership, and Community Education. Prior to this, I was an agricultural science teacher in Texas for 7 years. I am currently conducting research for my dissertation which explores agricultural science teachers' beliefs related to their beliefs related to pedagogy, teaching practices, community, and students’ needs. While this is a national survey, it is important to get as many responses in each state as possible.
I would appreciate your input in this study. The more teachers who participate in this study, the more accurate the results will be. I appreciate everyone who has already taken the survey. I value your time and viewpoints. This survey will take between 10 to 15 minutes. Some questions relate to community involvement, and the ability to facilitate discussion around issues within society, while others focus specifically on how you view teaching practices. Results will be prepared for my dissertation, publications, conference presentations, and for improvement to teacher education programs. All participation is confidential and voluntary. NO identifiable information will be connected to your responses or utilized in publications or presentations.
Please answer all the questions fully. There is an "I do not know" option for many items. This information is extremely valuable. Again, I hope you all participate. Should you have any questions, comments or concerns please contact me at kendrickls@vt.edu.
