Cobden High School, located in Section 24, is seeking a full time agriculture teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.
Facilities include classroom, shop and small greenhouse. Within the program there are approximately 50 students taking an agriculture education course. Courses that have been taught in the past include Animal Science, Basic Ag Mechanics, Basic Ag Science, Forestry, Horticulture Production and Wildlife Management. Courses taught will be determined by the strengths of the hired candidate and the high school needs.
More information can be found at the school website. Candidates should have a valid Illinois Teacher License. Candidates will be paid based on the collective bargaining agreement. This position also includes an FFA stipend and/or the Three Circles Grant.
