Hartsburg-Emden in Logan County (Section 14) is looking for an Agricultural Teacher to teach classes that are agricultural and career centered, as well as, to serve as the FFA sponsor for the high school. The district offers many perks like smaller class sizes, teacher autonomy, and a newly updated Ag Building built especially for this position.
The updated Ag Building includes one classroom, existing wood shop, a brand new mechanic shop with four welding booths, new welders, and automotive workspace. Behind the shop sits a greenhouse.
Classes to be taught are introduction to agriculture, horticulture, agriculture business management, veterinary technology, 8th grade agriculture, natural resources and BSAA in yearly rotation, and carpentry and ag mechanics in yearly rotation.
Hartsburg-Emden participates in the 3 Circles Grant and provides an FFA stipend.
