Good afternoon!
I’m looking forward to our Chicago Area (Section 8) teacher meeting tomorrow (Tuesday)!

To try something new we’re going to use a more casual format and I thought I would propose a social at my house. We have a large backyard and screened porch that will be great to get to know each other better!

• Tuesday, August 6
• 3:00 – 6:00 pm
• Luke’s House: 27W681 Washington Ave, Winfield, IL 60190 MAP  Look for the brown log cabin!
• BYO lawn chairs and beverages. I’ll be providing snacks and non-alcoholic drinks. I’ll have a cooler for you to put your items in. When you arrive, just follow the sidewalk around the house to the backyard.
• There will be NO zoom link. This is in-person only. I will have WiFi available, you may want to bring your laptop.

The weather forecast appears to be pretty nice tomorrow- 74 degrees and no rain!

We will have a meeting around 4pm to make plans for the coming year, including our first-ever Chicago Area JumpSTART conference! It’s a two day leadership retreat on September 13-14 at the DuPage County Fairgrounds. We’ll discuss that and make plans for a fall and spring contest day.
