Good morning Illinois AFNR teachers!
I'm so excited to have the opportunity to announce a special grant that has been provided by the National FFA Foundation through a generous donation by ADM: the Exchange and Engage grant!
Grants of $1,000 are available for your chapter to conduct a chapter exchange with another Illinois chapter. The goal is to help your students get to know students from another part of the state (a different FFA District) and to learn about the agriculture, FFA Chapter, people, and customs of the people who live there. The chapter you identify and agree to exchange with will also be able to apply for a grant to conduct a visit to your program. Two-way exchanges are the expectation to participate in this program.
Exchanges must be completed by December 15 with final reports due to me before you leave on Christmas break. Upon approval, National FFA will send you the first half of the money. Final report submission will initiate the second half of the payment.
I am attaching information about the grant and a view-only version of the application. Once you are ready to submit, fill out
this form and then email your narrative/budget to me.
To submit, all you need is the confirmed school you plan to complete the exchange with (your logistics can be worked out later).
The deadline to submit is 10/1 at the end of the day. My goal is to notify you of acceptance by the end of the first week of October.
What questions can I answer?
Thanks,
Luke
