West Central High School, located in Henderson County, Section 4, has a full-time opening for the remainder of the 2024-25 school year for an Agricultural Education teacher and Co-FFA advisor. The successful candidate will join Mr. Darrell Gittings in our Agricultural Department.
The courses currently include Ag Science, Consumer Ed, Vet Tech and Horticulture. A new greenhouse is being constructed, with an anticipated completion date of Spring 2025. Program also includes an Ag Mechanics Shop. West Central has an active and supportive alumni with events like Annual Tractor pull and Annual Alumni Auction/ banquet.
Qualifications
Current and valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS); 6-12 certification preferred, but not required
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits per the collective bargaining agreement. The district currently offers a 12-month extended contract as the school district participates in the Three Circle FFA and SAE grant.
