Joliet Jr. College, FCAE District 2, and Section 8 FFA invite you to participate in the first-ever VIRTUAL Urban Forestry Career Development Event on October 29-30. This is an invitational event so all schools offering courses in Agricultural Education, Environmental Science, AP Environmental Science, Horticulture, and Botany are welcome to participate. The event has been designed for a teacher to have all students in a course participate, not just selected students. Please share with your science teacher colleagues!
Format: The event will be conducted remotely this year. Your students may participate in a live opening presentation from 8-8:20AM via ZOOM on 10/29, and it will be recorded for their viewing later via YouTube if they plan to participate in the event at a different time. Once the student watches the video introduction they will be given a link to complete the contest.
For planning purposes, most students should expect for this event to take 1.5-2 hours.
The link to watch the Zoom opening will be sent to all teachers who register the morning of the contest. The link to begin the contest will be found at the end of the video. Students may complete the quiz anytime before 4:30pm on 10/30/20.
Entry Fee: There is no entry fee to participate.
Rules:
-
This is an individual contest, teams will not be identified. Top 4 students scores create the school score for ranking purposes.
-
There is no limit to the number of students your may register.
-
Students may complete the contest anytime between 8:00am on 10/29/20 and 4:30pm on 10/30/20. The quiz will be disabled at that time and results will be locked.
