Student Field Day will be September 12 at the Ewing Demo Center in Ewing. The address is 16132 N Ewing Rd Ewing.
It will start at 10am with lunch to follow the program. Everyone should be done in plenty of time to get back to their schools before the end of the day. Junior and Senior students are welcome to attend.
Field day will be a traditional day with various stops around the research center. The stops include Farm Credit talking about establishing and maintaining a good credit history and some of the loan programs they have available. The News 3 weather team will talk about ag communications and how weather forecasting is becoming one of the fastest growing ag jobs. Nobbe equipment will be doing a gps/hands free technology demonstration. Magnum Steel, owner Jim Czerwinski, will be on hand to discuss what he is looking for in an employee and what education he feels they need.
U of I, SIU, Kaskaskia College, and Rend Lake will be on hand to discuss some of their programs, as well.
There is no cost except for a RSVP by Tuesday, September 10 for food purposes.
