One of the things that makes our profession so great, and different from so many others, is how those who work in Ag Education consider ourselves a big family. We celebrate our successes and challenges together and we lift each other up when times are tough.
This week our family mourns the passing of Joseph Griffin, former Ag teacher at Sidell, Arthur, Kempton-Cabery (Tri-Point), and St. Anne. John retired after teaching agriculture for 34 years.
John exemplified the first two lines of the Ag Teachers Creed:
"I am an agricultural educator by choice and not by chance.
I believe in American agriculture; I dedicate my life to its development and the advancement of its people."
His obituary can be found here.
