      IL Ag & Food Alliance Workforce Workshop(Tyler Strom) 
      Discussion:  Review the goals and participation of both events and next steps.
      Action Item:  Approve, guide, support these initiatives to grow programs and students 
      in urban areas
      
2 – Existing and Future Agricultural Education Curriculum (30 minutes) 
      Discussion:  Curriculum committee report of current and future projects, teacher survey, 
      safety lessons, curriculum review by industry representatives (Moffitt, Galle, Zecher, Hanson)
      Action Item:  Guide, adopt and support the revisions and future projects

3 – State Legislature and Governor’s Office Update (15 minutes)
      Discussion:  Communication with Patrick Barry, IAVAT Ag Ed Lobbyist
      Action Item:  Support Senate Bill 3692 to change representation of ILCAE on ICAE, contact
      legislators in support of agricultural education.

4 - New Member Nominations and Elections (15 minutes)
      Discussion:  Review new member nominations and best practices to onboard new members
      Action Item:  Elect individuals for membership and onboard new members

5 – Non-Allowable Expenditures for ILCAE in the FCAE Budget (15 minutes)
      Discussion:  Review previous year expenditures for ILCAE and discuss options
      Action Item:  Prioritize options for expenditures

ILCAE was formed in 1984 governed by a 30 member board of directors who represent and serve as a link between the agricultural industry and agricultural education.  ILCAE is an advocacy group focused on legislation, funding, and promotion of agricultural education and serves as an advisory council for the initiatives of the Agricultural Education line item.  ILCAE is responsible for the vision of Agricultural Education thru the Illinois Agricultural Education Plan.
