Vacancy- Rockridge High School

Agriculture Mechanics/Industrial Technology Teacher


Rockridge High School, located in Section 4, is looking for an Agricultural Mechanics/Industrial Technology teacher for the start of the 2021-2022 school year.  The teacher will be assigned to instruct Agricultural Mechanics courses and Industrial Technology courses.  A specific course schedule will be determined after the successful candidate is identified and course registration has been completed for the 2021-2022 school year.


The Rockridge program boasts a variety of agricultural mechanics courses and industrial technology courses.  Current facilities include 2 agricultural mechanics/industrial technology classrooms, a mechanics classroom, a finishing room, construction trades shop and a mechanic shop, 2 offices, updated welding booths with portable ventilation, greenhouse, aquaponics, and a land lab.


Rockridge High School is 1 to 1 with Chromebooks and utilizes Google Classroom with every class.  Each of the classrooms has projection capabilities.  Agriculture and industrial trades are very important to our community, and our new teacher will have tremendous support from our community.  The new teacher would join our team and work directly with our existing staff in providing agricultural mechanics and industrial technology experiences to our students.


Applicants must possess a valid Illinois Teaching License with appropriate endorsements in Agriculture and/or Industrial Technology including certification in Cooperative Education.  Applicants must also pass appropriate background checks a physical examination, including a TB test.


Salary and benefits are determined based on experience and education per the collective bargaining agreement with the Rockridge Teacher’s Association.  Starting base salary for the 2021-2022 school year is $39,438.
