Location: CU Woodshop: 1401 Parkland Ct, Champaign, IL 61821
9:00 - 3:00 p.m. Basic Operations and Safety with Hands-on Project - This workshop teaches shop safety with emphasis on stationary power tools (including SawStop table saw, band saw, jointer, planer, miter saw, drill press, and router table). Experience each tool as you go through the steps to build a small project - a cheese slicer board that you can take home

Limited to 20 teachers

Staff Attending:  Megan Coy mcoy@ilaged.org
Attire: Casual with no loose or dangling clothing or jackets.  No strings at all (such as hoodie-ties or rope belts).  Avoid or remove jewelry such as bracelets and necklaces.  No open-toed shoes or sandals. Long hair must be tied back. OSHA approved eye protection required.  Standard eye glasses are not sufficient. Hearing protection (e.g., ballistic headphones, wrap-around, or even foam plugs) strongly recommended.
