Vacancy Fall 2026 NEW Program: Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor at  Rockfalls High School

Rock Falls High School, located in Rock Falls, IL, in Whiteside County, Section 2, has a full-time opening for the 2026-27 school year for an Agricultural Education teacher and FFA advisor.

The Rock Falls agriculture program has an Ag Boosters group that manages the Ag plot of 70 acres.  Facilities currently include a field plot, a dedicated Ag classroom, and a full teaching kitchen with 6 student stations.

The courses to be taught currently include upper-level Food Science courses, and Rock Falls High School will be flexible with other class offerings depending on the qualified candidates' specific skills and interests.

Qualifications

Current and valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) or Career and Technical Education Educator License with Stipulations (ELS); 6-12 certification preferred, but not required.

Salary/Benefits

Salary (BS/BA+0=$38,338) and benefits per the collective bargaining agreement. RFHS offers a 10% sign-on bonus for 1st year teachers. The district currently offers a 12-month extended contract as the school district participates in the Three Circle FFA and SAE grant.  

Additional Notes

The district offers a tuition waiver for out-of-district children of staff members. Other extracurricular activities will be available during the upcoming 26-27 school year.
