HOT, HOT, HOT - Carolina Reaper HOT - CREW Meeting - The first meeting to connect with every FFA Chapter in the state will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at a NEW TIME of 11:30 a.m. Zoom Link for the CREW, meeting is set to last about 30 minutes. It will feature the three state committees that the officers are leading this year. Your members won’t want to miss it. CREW meets tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.
Illinois FFA Center Summer and Legislative Intern Positions
The Illinois FFA Center will hire Summer Interns for the Summer of 2026 to assist the center in completing and coordinating various events and activities. Again this year, we are excited to offer the legislative internship created by the generous contributions in memory of Bill Johnson.

Illinois FFA Alumni & Supporters Ground Zero Conference and Washington Leadership Conference Scholarship Applications
The Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters applications are now open and are due Monday, November 3, 2025. A letter of recommendation from the FFA Advisor on the student applying for the scholarship is also due on November 3, 2025. Your chapter must have an active alumni to apply for these scholarships. This link will take you to all of our open scholarship applications and rubrics.
Ground Zero Conference Scholarship Application: Please have a freshman or sophomore complete the application to attend one of the Ground Zero Conferences in January or February 2026. We will only accept one application per school.
Washington Leadership Conference Scholarship Application: Sophomores and Juniors may apply for the WLC Scholarship. We will not have the scholarship amount until after the Alumni Council meeting on Saturday, November 8, 2025. National FFA will have this conference in the Summer of 2026. If you have any questions, please email pdavis@illinoisffa.org.

2. Intent to Run for the Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters Council
The Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters are seeking new members to join the alumni council. The IL FFA Alumni and Supporters Council convenes 3-4 times annually to evaluate scholarship applications, organize the Alumni Annual Meeting & Auction, develop strategies to support FFA members, and address other key initiatives. Please email or mail the Letter of Intent (please save a copy to your files before editing the original one) to the address on the application by October 1, 2025.
3. National FFA Alumni and Supporters Outstanding Achievement & Chapter Applications
Does your alumni chapter and/or members provide outstanding support to local FFA members and their own members? If so, please complete these applications and email them to pdavis@illinoisffa.org by Monday, November 3, 2025.

The applications will be judged on November 8, 2025, and the winners will receive their awards on January 23, 2026, at the Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters annual meeting and auction in Springfield, Illinois.
4. SAVE THE DATE - Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters Annual Meeting & Auction
The Illinois FFA Alumni and Supporters annual meeting and auction will be held on Friday, January 23 - Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the President Abraham Lincoln Hotel, Springfield, Illinois. More information will be added to this link after the alumni council meeting on November 8, 2025. If you have any questions about the event, please contact Patti Davis at pdavis@illinoisffa.org.
Auction: If you know someone who sells seed or has a way to get other types of donations, please contact our Auction Coordinator, Daphne Thorman, at ILStateffa@yahoo.com. We will have the Chapter Basket Judging and auction off the baskets for a chance to win a 2026 Illinois FFA Leadership Camp Scholarship. Last year, we had 9 FFA Chapters use the chapter basket scholarship that covered the full cost of camp, and 7 used the partial camp scholarships.
Sponsorships: We are also looking for companies to sponsor our event. If you work for a company that could provide a sponsorship to the alumni or would like a request letter sent out, please contact Riley Wells at rwells@illinoisffa.org.
