Illinois Agricultural Education

Joliet Junior College Agriculture Department will again offer a PAID Internship for high school juniors and seniors with a sincere interest in exploring a career teaching agriculture.  The internship will allow students to work with their high school agricultural education teacher (or designated teacher) in performing various classroom, FFA, and related activities and duties.  The Agricultural Education Intern will be compensated by this grant at the rate of $10/hour for up to 80 hours of internship experience between January 1, 2026, and May 1, 2026.

TEACHERS: Please e-mail Jeff Landers (jlanders@jjc.edu) to request a “Memorandum of Understanding” to nominate your student for the GAST Internship.  By nominating this student, you are verifying that this individual has expressed  a sincere interest in exploring Agricultural Education as a career.  After receiving the memorandum of understanding you will need to return the form before final approval is granted.  This internship has a limited number of spots, so reply early.
