ISU Animal and Veterinary Science Bootcamp- July 13-17, 2026- Registration Opens Soon!
This summer, the Illinois State University (ISU) Department of Agriculture is offering an interactive, hands-on graduate course (AGR 485a01 - Special Topics in Agricultural Education: Animal and Veterinary Science) to provide current teachers with knowledge and skills related to the animal industries. This course will cover a wide range of topics in animal science, including animal handling/safety, nutrition, reproduction, health, veterinary practices, meat science, and the management of livestock (cattle, swine, small ruminants, and equine). Teachers of all experience levels are invited to participate.
Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive 3 hours of graduate credit. Current tuition rates and fees will apply. If you are not a current ISU graduate student, you may enroll as a visiting/non-degree seeking student at https://illinoisstate.edu/
This course is limited to accommodating no more than 20 teachers. Registration for the course will open on Monday, February 16. To ensure your spot, please register early.
Grants and fees will cover all workshop materials, refreshments, snacks, and lunch each day.
