llini Bluffs Located in Section 5, District 1, is seeking an Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor for 2026-2027.
Duties
Illini Bluffs High School is looking for a student-centered individual looking to work in a supportive learning environment. This position will have access to teach in a brand new, state-of-the-art greenhouse, a recently renovated classroom, have access to all new welding and lab equipment, and serve as an FFA sponsor.
Qualifications
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License or CTE (career and technical education) certification with proper endorsements.
Salary/Benefits
Salary:
The starting salary for the 2025-2026 school year is $45,036 (BA + 0)
The starting salary for the 2026-2027 school year has not been established yet. Certified negotiations are this spring.
3 Circles Grant available to the applicant for an extended year contract along with FFA stipend

The school board pays 90% of the premium for single coverage and 80% of the premium for the cost of dependents for medical and/or dental insurance,

Performance Descriptors:

Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy, and administrative regulation, pertaining to teacher and students.
Assists the administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct, and, for the classroom, develops reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedure, and maintains order in the classroom.
Makes provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
Continuously strives to improve professional competence and collaboration with colleagues and communities.
Attends staff meetings, serves on staff committees, and performs duties prescribed by administration and CBA.
Promotes public relations for the school's programs and activities.
Becomes acquainted with parents; reports any unusual occurrence or event to the administrator.
Contacts the designated representative as soon as possible when the teacher must be absent from school.
Participates in the selection, adoption and inventory of textbooks.
Implements all rules and regulations, policies and administrative guidelines as adopted by the School Board for the district.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Is familiar with and incorporates the use of technology in daily tasks.
Maintains regular attendance.
Adheres to the professional code of conduct.
Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by the administration.
Evaluation: Based upon State guidelines and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
