FORMS/DOCUMENTS to REVIEW:

  1. Electronic Certificate of Veterinary Inspections.

Please see NOTICE the links outlining Illinois’ transition to electronic certificates of veterinary inspection (ECVI).  Beginning July 1, 2026, Illinois veterinarians must begin utilizing electronic certificates of veterinary inspection when they are completing these documents for interstate or intrastate movements.  Examples of intrastate movements would be the required certificate of veterinary inspection for county or state fair exhibitions.  Therefore, when a producer or exhibitor requests a certificate of veterinary inspection after July 1, 2026, the Illinois accredited veterinarian will utilize an online platform in place of a handwritten paper form that was previously supplied by the Department.  The ECVI can then be provided to producers in an electronic form, be printed or both. Please note, if an exhibitor/producer’s veterinarian completes a certificate of veterinary inspection prior to July 1, 2026, the handwritten Illinois paper CVI will still be accepted, including at the fairs.

In addition, on January 1, 2027, imports into Illinois will also require an electronic certificate of veterinary inspection.  We will no longer accept the paper certificates from other states after this date.

This information will be available on the Illinois Department of Agriculture website, places listed below and is being shared with Illinois accredited veterinarians.

  1. Bring The Magic of the Make48 TV Show to Your Classroom

Registration for the National FFA Endorsed Activity, Make48 Innovation Experience, closes April 1. This is a structured, industry-connected project-based competition where students work in teams to solve real business challenges, prototype solutions, and pitch their ideas. 1. Connect With Chapters Across the Country

Help your FFA members build lasting networks and essential life skills. The National FFA Chapter Connect program brings together 30 FFA chapters from across the country to build meaningful connections and share experiences. From June 2026 through April 2027, participating chapters will partner with another chapter to engage in activities, attend sessions together at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo, and work on a joint project focused on leadership, teamwork and collaboration. Grants are available to help offset travel and participation costs. Applications are due by Friday, April 24. Apply today!
