D5 & Invitational Livestock Judging CDE
The Livestock Judging CDE will take place on April 17, 2026. On-site check-in will begin at 8:30 a.m. The contest will begin at 9:15 a.m. The contest will be in person at the University Farms at the Metabolic and Physiology Center at the Farms.
SCANTRON - Please make sure your students know their chapter ID and fill it out appropriately on the scantron. Students will specify which team they are on, on their scantron sheets. Varsity will be team 01, JV will be team 02, and practice will be team 03. The scantron to be used is attached. Please review this with your students before arriving to the contest!
We will also have teachers fill out a form to specify which students are on which team to ensure our records are correct. This form is attached. Practice of individuals can be written on the back of the form.
There will be 9 classes.

Breeding Does

*** please note this is not the order the classes will be in on Friday.
Location – Registration and the contest will take place at SIU Farms Metabolism and Physiology Center (2422 Union Hill Rd, Carbondale, IL 62901). From W Pleasant Hill Rd, turn south onto Union Hill Rd. The Metabolism and Physiology Center will be the second building on your left. Registration will take place inside the building.

Parking – All parking will be located at the Farms Service Center (2704 Union Hill Rd, Carbondale, IL 62901). Parking is free. There will be vans shuttling drivers who park at the Service Center to the Metabolism and Physiology Center. Please drop off students at registration before parking at the Service Center.
Dress – Please dress for weather. Close-toed and comfortable shoes are encouraged!
Reminders
· Writing utensils will not be provided! Please have your students bring their own writing utensils!!
· Clipboards are recommended
· Tell your students to EAT and DRINK before the contest!!
· Please remind your students that this is a contest and there is to be no talking during!
· ***By registering for this contest students are agreeing to their photos being taken and their photos may be used for promotional material in the future
