Vacancy- Altamont High School Ag Teacher & FFA Advisor
Altamont High School, located in Section 20, is taking applications for a full-time agriculture instructor and FFA advisor for the 2026-2027 academic year. Course offerings include Introduction to the Agriculture Industry, Basic Agriculture Science, Agriculture Mechanics and Technology, Horticulture Science, Landscaping and Turf Management, Agriculture Business Management, Veterinary Science, Supervised Agriculture Experience.
Altamont is invested in using the CASE Curriculum and prefers candidates that either are currently certified or willing to complete certification in CASE. Currently CASE offerings include AFNR and ABF. Facilities include greenhouse, an aeroponics site, a mechanical shop with woodworking equipment, a plot of just under eleven acres, and 1:1 technology district with all students having their own Chromebooks
The successful candidate will also serve as the FFA advisor and will involve numerous after school contests and CDEs. Altamont participates in the Three Circle Grant.
