Vacancy- Bismarck Henning Rossville Alvin Ag Teacher/FFA Advisor

Start Date: 2026-27 School Year

Salary: On Contract plus FFA Stipend

Bismarck-Henning Rossville-Alvin (BHRA) Cooperative High School is seeking a motivated and passionate full-time Agricultural Education Teacher and FFA Advisor for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will lead a well-established agricultural education program serving approximately 75 students.

BHRA is located in Section 18 and offers strong community and administrative support for agricultural education. Facilities include a dedicated classroom and a large, well-equipped agricultural mechanics/shop area. BHRA is also a 1-to-1 Chromebook school, supporting technology in instruction.

Course Offerings:

Current and potential courses include:

  • Introduction to Agriculture

  • Agricultural Mechanics / Ag Construction

  • Agricultural Business Management

  • Horticulture / Landscaping

  • Basic/Intermediate Agricultural Science (BSAA)

  • Agricultural Science

Course assignments will be based on the strengths and interests of the selected candidate.

The BHRA FFA chapter is highly engaged at the section, district, and state levels, with passionate students who consistently participate in leadership events, competitions, and activities. BHRA has an active FFA Alumni Chapter.

The position is an 11-month contract, and the district currently participates in the 3-Circles Grant Program. Applicants must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsement and demonstrate a strong understanding of effective instructional practices and agricultural education principles.
