Traveling with students for FFA conventions, conferences, competitions, and other activities can provide incredible experiences but being away from home and normal routines can also create challenges for student mental health.
On September 30th from 7-8pm, join Rachel Brown, Licensed Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Mental Health Specialist for Farm SOS, for an interactive conversation focused on recognizing and responding to student mental health needs while traveling. Together, we will explore situations agricultural educators may encounter, including students being away from home for the first time, disrupted schedules and routines, navigating large crowds and unfamiliar environments, academic pressures from missing school, and supporting a student who receives difficult news from home while away.
